Well, in 2007, it all started with the Bansal’s, Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal with an idea to sell products through the internet. From then, there have been many hiccups but now, in India, it has higher market than International players like Amazon and EBay. As the story unfolds, on 24th July 2015, Flipkart has now officially leased a space of 2 million sq. ft. for mammoth 300 cr/yr. for a period of 20 years.
This office is situated in the Heart of Bangalore, in the commercial area of Sarjapur.
Here’s the outer look of Flipkart:
The building has vibrant look to it with the Flipkart logo clearly visible to everyone. This Singapore registered company leased this space in deal with Embassy Group.
The foyer is too good with the insights of legendaries like Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, etc.
The Olympic Rings is thrown in for good measure. As it shows aptly that Flipkart sprinted from a Bedroom to $12 billion company in just 8 years.
If there is any place to have a conference, this is it.
The lounges are too good for some thought-provoking changes and lets you to explore each zone of your brain.
This one is our favourite! With the atomic elements, flipkart nicely conveyed their work culture!
I would love to work at this place man! I have always been a Star Wars fan and looking at this makes me crazy!
Around 2500 employees are to use this space initially. Embassy Tech Village is a 105 acre plush property in the Outer Ring Road in Bangalore, which is part of the IT corridor planned by the government.
This space also has an awesome miniature golf course which enthralls you in every way possible.
Clearly good governance and a promise of investor friendly environment in the Indian corporate sector has helped these companies to make data-based predictions of growth for the next decade, and this is certainly a good sign for the Indian economy.
So, thinking of joining to Flipkart, go for it. This is the best time. #HailFlipkart
